Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.


We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

This role is based in 5 Howick Place office.




You will sell exhibition stand space & added value products across the food & hospitality portfolio of events, handling existing accounts, driving new business growth and generating new leads.


You will be working within an experienced, passionate and dynamic team with a hard-work ethic. You will be expected to develop and manage your own pipeline by phone, email and face-to-face selling and will therefore need to be tenacious and enthusiastic

Your responsibilities will include:



Develop & grow sales across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Middle East Generate new business and close existing leads through telephone canvasing, research, face to face sales and implementing sales campaigns Service existing customers to Informa standards and maintain & build long-term customer relationships Work to targets with accurate reporting to management and keeping detailed sales records Liaise with overseas offices and international representatives of Informa International travel to food and hospitality events around the world

Qualifications

You will be a well-motivated, ambitious and successful sales professional, ideally with 1-2 years sales experience. You must show a determination and ability to deliver and exceed sales results with a proven track record.

Skills/experience/attitudes:



Proven track record in hitting and exceeding individual and team revenue targets Professional telephone sales manner New business generation Sales experience including telephone canvasing, researching/sourcing potential new leads and proposal writing Relationship building Self-sufficient, self-motivated, resilient, determined, assertive, good objection handler, capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines and prioritizing Excellent organisation and time management skills Team player, capable of dealing with strong personalities and being assertive Strong work ethic Detail-oriented, flexible, energetic and methodical Resilient and determined; problem solver and decision-maker Ability to communicate at senior level, authoritative Numerate/Literate Professionalism, integrity, must be well-presented Administration skills - organised - planner Excellent written communication skills
