IMRG is the UK's ecommerce association, a membership community of online retailers and global digital tech companies. We sit at the heart of this dynamic and rapidly growing industry, and our role is to help retailers better understand and improve their online performance. We do this through a busy programme of data analysis, insight and events. IMRG is universally recognised as the leading authority in this space.
A vacancy exists for someone to join the sales team in growing the Solution provider membership and sponsorship revenue within IMRG. This hands-on role offers great autonomy, variety, and a real opportunity to make an impact.
THE ROLE:
Generate new Solution provider membership and sponsorship revenue via all sales channels: telephone/in-person at events/social media/email
Take a leading role in supporting team with LinkedIn Navigator outreach, identifying target groups to contact, crafting outbound messaging and using additional services such as Dripify
Collaborate closely with marketing to deliver lead gen tasks such as compiling lead lists and researching ideal-fit companies through Cognism and Apollo for marketing to contact through mail campaigns
Outbound sales activity to totally new contacts and conversion of inbound enquiries
Actively build and refresh contact data on the Salesforce customer database
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, build the target database, and monitor all account activity on Salesforce
Actively develop new leads through a combination of social media, email, phone activity and event attendance and networking
Work closely with the marketing and sales team to help shape and deliver the sales and marketing activity plan
ABOUT YOU:
A genuine enthusiasm and ambition to build a career in sales in the fast-growing ecommerce sector
Persuasive by character, with strong and creative writing and communication skills
Effective using social media, primarily LinkedIn, email, and lead gen tools such as Apollo/Navigator for lead generation
Commercial acumen, an entrepreneurial approach and enthusiasm for finding new commercial opportunities
Confident and persuasive communicating on the phone and face to face
Well organised. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce ideally), reporting and planning
A genuine interest in the subject; ecommerce data, analysis, and insight
Excellent people skills, the confidence to make introductions and hold conversations
