The position.
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for selling delegate tickets and then progressing to sponsorship packages, or exhibition space across a portfolio of sector-specific conferences. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships with high end clients, learn consultative sales, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sell delegate places and then sponsorship/exhibition packages over the phone and via email to senior-level professionals.
Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Understand client needs and tailor value propositions accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of calls, meetings, and sales using CRM tools.
Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to maximize event success.
Attend select conferences to manage client relationships and upsell on-site.
Essential Requirements
1+ year of sales experience (ideally in events, media, recruitment, or similar sectors).
Good set of academics.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Confident communicator with excellent telephone manner.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Self-starter with a proactive and resilient attitude.
Comfortable working in a KPI-driven environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
Experience selling conference sponsorship or delegate places.
Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Interest in business trends and corporate strategy.
