Sales Executive
to join our forward-thinking and fast-growing courier business. Based out of our Leicester office in Thurmaston, this role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity for hybrid working following successful completion of the probation period.
As a key member of our commercial team, you will be instrumental in driving new business, enhancing client engagement, and supporting strategic growth across key industries including aerospace, automotive, healthcare, and manufacturing.
This role offers a clear progression pathway, with future development into a
Business Development Manager
position for the right individual.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the
Sales Executive
will play a vital role in shaping our market presence and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients, nurturing accounts, and contributing to our commercial strategy, while working closely with internal teams to ensure service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will be split across the following focus areas:
New Business Sales (80%)
Marketing & Strategic Insight (10%)
Account Management & Team Enablement (10%)
Sales & Business Development
Identify and secure new business opportunities via outreach, networking, and inbound leads
Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs (Corporate and SME's)
Build long-term client relationships based on trust and performance
Lead client onboarding, ensuring seamless service integration with our operations team
Leverage CRM tools to track pipeline activity, conversions, and customer touchpoints
Marketing & Insight
Support B2B marketing campaigns with trend insights and sales strategy input
Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging with commercial objectives
Attend industry events and maintain market intelligence
Client Relationship Management
Manage and grow existing accounts through regular engagement
Proactively gather feedback to identify upsell opportunities and enhance client retention
Report on customer activity, competitor insight, and revenue performance
Internal Enablement & Reporting
Conduct weekly sales meetings to assess performance and plan pipeline activity
Produce monthly and quarterly sales and marketing reports, along with revenue forecasts
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of proven success in B2B sales (preferably within logistics, supply chain, or transport sectors)
Confident communicator via phone, video, and in-person meetings
Strategic thinker with the ability to sell solutions, not just services
Strong commercial acumen and results-driven mentality
Highly organised and self-motivated with a proactive, can-do attitude
Proficient in CRM platforms, MS Office, and digital communication tools
Full UK driving licence required
