As we continue to expand, we're looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales department and drive growth.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager will play a hands-on role in securing orders, quoting work, and managing customer relationships. This is a key position requiring close coordination with our design, production, and scheduling departments to ensure accuracy of quotations, clarity of communication, and reliability of lead times.
The successful candidate will lead sales activity across the business, supported by generic admin staff and a Project Coordinator (based in design) who will assist with drafting quotations and processing orders. You'll also be expected to produce regular reports and updates for the Senior Operations Managers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead all sales activity, from initial enquiry to secured order
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Identify and pursue new customer opportunities across target sectors
Accurately quote works with support from admin and technical teams
Liaise with design, manufacturing, and scheduling teams to confirm accurate lead times and production capacity
Oversee customer communication to ensure expectations are set and met professionally
Attend site meetings and client visits when required
Provide regular sales performance reports and pipeline updates to senior management
Identify new markets, opportunities, and potential partnerships
Contribute to improving internal sales processes and customer experience
Work collaboratively with admin staff and project coordinators to manage workload and ensure consistency in customer communication
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or industrial products
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term relationships
Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and sharepoint.
Self-motivated and target-driven with excellent organisational skills
Comfortable with technical product details and solution-based selling
Experience in a leadership or team management role
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client visits
Desirable:
Knowledge of the GRP or industrial enclosures industry would be a distinct advantage.
Experience with project-based or custom-build manufacturing sales
Competence in reading technical drawings or understanding construction layouts
Knowledge of the tendering process for commercial or public sector projects
Understanding of modular buildings, enclosures, or prefabricated structures
