Overview:

Founded in 1982, Classic & Sports Car is Britain's best-selling classic car title, reaching hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts every month through its print and digital magazines, bookazines, its popular website, thriving social media channels and newly launched digital archive.


As a Sales Manager you will lead the identification, qualification and conversion of large business from key accounts and build relationships with clients to continue to drive growth for the brand and the business as a whole.


You will have commercial responsibility across the brand's portfolio, tackling the challenges of an evolving market head-on, and are expected to lead, motivate and inspire your team to maximise revenue opportunities across print and digital platforms, develop new ideas and understand your audience in order to strategically plan and strengthen your brand and sales proposition.


Responsibilities:
Account manage, maintain and develop an existing portfolio of accounts in order to achieve revenue in line with annual budgets and forecasts. Be able to lead from the front by generating, selling, negotiating and securing new business revenues Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the products are effective for all partners and deliver as per the agreed KPIs. Manage the recruitment, objective setting, coaching, development and performance of a small sales team. Achieve agreed levels of team productivity, ensuring you are performing to these standards and achieving KPIs set by your line manager. Act as a sales figurehead for the brand, both internally and externally.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria:
Strong commercial acumen with a consultative sales approach, understanding the nuances in client needs. B2B sales experience, ideally in media or publishing, with strong negotiation, presentation and proposal-writing skills. A proven ability to match needs with tailored solutions within a suite of products, as well as being able to win business from cold leads. Able to identify new opportunities and be able to react quickly taking into account what our competitors are doing. Resilient and able to think through the challenges of a market that is constantly evolving
