Sales Manager

| Peterborough | Full-Time | Circa 60 - 70k + package

FMCG Jobs is excited to be working exclusively with a fast-growing wholesale business based in Peterborough, a supplier of choice to restaurants, QSR brands, and convenience retailers across the region. As they continue to expand, they're looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to take ownership of sales, marketing, and purchasing, driving performance, improving margin, and helping shape the future of the business. This is a newly created and critical role, reporting directly into the MD and Head of Operations. It offers a genuine opportunity to make a big impact from day one.

What you'll be doing:

Leading and delivering the overall commercial strategy Managing and motivating a small sales team to hit (and exceed!) targets Getting under the skin of performance data and using insights to guide decisions Overseeing supplier relationships and negotiating the best possible terms Making sure marketing, sales and purchasing are working in sync Leading short, focused daily sales huddles (3-4 per week) to keep the team energised and on track Being a key contact for customers and building long-term relationships, especially in QSR and retail

What they're looking for:

You'll likely have a background in wholesale, FMCG, foodservice or QSR, and be comfortable working across both sales and purchasing. You'll understand how to balance commercial thinking with a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up approach.
