We're looking for a confident

Sales Manager

to take the lead on converting inbound enquiries into long-term, high-value client relationships. This is a new and critical role in our business, offering the chance to shape our sales function while playing a key part in our growth strategy.

This exciting new position is focused on showcasing the value proposition Echo offers, developing strong client relationships and closing deals that align with our service offering. You will take ownership of the sales pipeline beyond initial lead qualification, guiding prospects through proposals, negotiations, and onboarding while maintaining a high level of client engagement.

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience in B2B sales. We're interested in finding someone with a strong passion for the Websites/Digital Marketing sector, particularly within the SME sector, who can demonstrate a history of success in a previous sales role. Ideally you will have experience in digital marketing or technology-driven solutions but this isn't critical for the role. You will be capable of demonstrating the value of Echo's digital services to SMEs. You will work closely with the Managing Director and marketing team to align sales efforts with overall business growth strategies, contributing directly to the agency's long-term success.

As this is a new role for the business, we require someone unafraid of challenges, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere, and finds fulfilment in overcoming obstacles.

Full time role in our Peterborough based office, with opportunity for hybrid working.

Objectives:

The main areas of this role

Pipeline Management

- Manage the overall sales pipeline, for both new business and existing clients

Deal Negotiating & Closing

- Lead the negotiation process, ensuring potential clients see the value of Echo's services, handling objections and structuring deals

Lead Qualification & Nurturing

- Reacting to any new leads and taking them through our sales process - initial qualification, requirements gathering, quoting/proposals, conversion and onboarding

Proposal & Sales Material Curation

- Craft compelling, tailored proposals and pitch material that align with client needs, ensuring a high conversion rate

Lead Volume Management

- Coordinate with our marketing department to ensure various marketing channels are creating an effective volume of leads

Onboarding & Handover

- Effectively onboard new client and handover any converted sales detail & requirements to the relevant team for onboarding

Day to day responsibilities:



Overall sales pipeline management via our CRM (HubSpot), consistently moving prospects along the pipeline Qualifying and nurturing new leads, becoming the first point of contact and gathering all requirements. Review of requirements and assessment of which services we think would be valuable to the prospect Developing compelling sales assets, such as proposal documents, audits and presentation materials, to enhance our sales process and effectively communicate the value of our services Using consultative sales techniques to understand customer pain points & opportunities, effectively evaluating how we can help a prospect and close deals in our pipeline Act as the primary point of contact for newly signed clients, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience Regularly speaking with various potential customers to build relationships and nurture across the sales process Liaising with the internal team of marketing experts to establish prospect requirements, create appropriate digital strategies & website build packages Keeping the Marketing team updated with key department metrics. Running the internal sales meetings, reporting on pipeline progress and ensuring effective progress is being made Working alongside our Marketing team to ensure the channel & content campaigns we have in place are complimenting the efforts of this role, to ensure effective marketing budget spend and lead conversion Handover requirements to Marketing team, alongside Digital Marketing experts for audit and proposal creation Post-sale contract creation for newly converted sales, following our standard process, alongside handing over any sales requirements to the Operations team Conduct outreach activities to potential clients in our target market. Create new relationships via outreach (cold and warm) Close collaboration with both our Managing Director and Marketing team to ensure monthly performance metrics are always met/exceeded Input on our processes and sales collateral to ensure the overall way of working and promoting to prospects is always being developed

What we need from you:



Whilst we would like to see the below from an ideal candidate, we understand that everyone may not yet have all of the experience listed below:

Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline, nurture leads and close deals Experience working with both inbound lead handling and outbound generation Familiarity with SME challenges and how digital marketing helps them grow Understanding of digital marketing services (SEO, PPC, websites, social ads) and how they impact business growth Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills Experience in consultative sales A motivated person that sees value in developing long-term sustainable relationships An individual with integrity that aligns with . We never allow for any sleazy sales! And only ever want to offer value to the businesses we partner with Previous agency experience would be beneficial and the candidate ideally would have some background in the marketing/technology/SME space Ability to use HubSpot (CRM) with ease, although training can be provided Confident and comfortable to speak to prospects of all shapes and sizes Occasional travel to clients premises
