As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the sales efforts within the FMCG sector. This includes developing strategies to meet sales targets, managing key accounts, and working closely with the marketing and distribution teams to ensure product availability and brand visibility. You will also be responsible for leading and motivating a team of sales representatives, ensuring they meet their individual and team goals.
Duties
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth in the FMCG market.
Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Key Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers to maximize product distribution and visibility.
Market Analysis:
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and threats.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets. Analyze sales data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing, logistics, and product teams to ensure effective product launches, promotions, and distribution strategies.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
Qualifications
Relevant degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or Masters is a plus).
5+ years of experience in sales within the FMCG industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in the FMCG market.
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing and developing sales teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and stakeholders
