An established UK-based distributor within the communications, networking, and security technology sector is looking for an experienced
Sales Manager
to lead and develop its sales team.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of sales performance, coach a dedicated team, and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to exceed KPIs and achieve growth targets
Provide regular feedback, training, and mentoring to enhance performance
Manage and grow key customer accounts
Develop and implement a sales plan to expand the customer base and increase revenue
Build and maintain strong supplier and partner relationships
Collaborate with vendors and marketing teams on product launches and campaigns
Oversee pricing, margin, and purchasing strategies
Work with other departments to streamline internal processes and ensure a positive customer experience
Maintain accurate CRM data and reporting
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and product developments
Attend West Yorkshire office when not out seeing vendors
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within telecoms, IT, or a related industry
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing teams
Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and commercial strategy
Excellent coaching, motivation, and communication skills
Experience managing supplier relationships and budgets
Commercially aware with strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM system experience preferred
Customer-focused and target-driven
Driving license
Desirable:
Experience in channel or distribution sales (Telecoms, IT, AV, etc.)
Technical understanding or interest in technology products
