An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Sales Order Administrator
to join our busy Service and Repair Centre in Huddersfield. This role is key to ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, expectations are clearly managed, and purchase orders are placed and progressed to meet delivery commitments.
You will be confident handling customer enquiries, managing live orders, and following up repair quotes and parts to maximise order turnover. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, organisation, and working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Progress all customer repair quotes to secure orders or arrange return of equipment
Process customer orders promptly and accurately
Monitor the order book to ensure orders are despatched in line with customer expectations
Place and progress purchase orders to meet agreed delivery timescales
Follow up live job parts to maximise order turnover
Ensure all despatched goods are included in the daily invoice run to support timely payment
Record all after-sales issues and actively chase resolution
Answer incoming telephone calls, act as receptionist, and coordinate incoming and outgoing post
Undertake any other reasonable administrative duties as required
About You:
An experienced office administrator with strong organisational skills
Computer literate, with basic Excel skills and a good working knowledge of Word
Confident using Management Information Systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage but is not essential)
Energetic, committed, and enthusiastic with a hands-on approach
Able to plan, prioritise, and work to deadlines
A clear communicator with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
