We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Logistics Sales Representative
with a specialization in
aviation transportation
to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and delivering customized logistics solutions for clients in the aviation industry, including airlines, MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), aircraft manufacturers, and aerospace suppliers.
Key responsibilities
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the aviation and aerospace sectors.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Generate leads through industry networking, trade shows, referrals, and cold calling.
Manage and grow existing accounts by understanding client needs and delivering value-added logistics solutions.
Act as a primary point of contact for aviation clients, ensuring superior customer service and satisfaction.
Provide tailored air freight and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) logistics solutions.
Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
Maintain knowledge of international and domestic aviation transportation regulations and procedures.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Prepare regular reports on sales activity, forecasts, and market trends.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns for the aviation sector.
Requirements
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in logistics sales, with at least 1 year focused on aviation transportation or related industries.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Aviation Management, or a related field preferred or equivalent job experience.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Strong understanding of aviation logistics, including AOG services, air charter, freight forwarding, and customs regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Skilled in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Customs Knowledge: Understanding of customs procedures, EX1 export declarations, and import/export documentation.
AWB & Booking
:
Advanced knowledge in bookings and generating Air Waybills (AWB).
Import/Export Documentation: Familia
r
with commercial invoices, packing lists, consolidation AWBs, and Master Bills of Lading (MBL).
Known Consignor Status: Knowledge of status requirements and procedures.
Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR): Familiar with handling and compliance.
Experience in export declarations to non-EU countries and the EU.
Knowledge of cargo screening, air cargo security, and handling standards.
Compliance: Understanding of both domestic and international laws.
Background & Drug Testing:
Must pass background, criminal, and drug/alcohol tests.
Eligibility to Work in the UK:
Ability to legally work in the UK and provide eligibility proof of address
Experience
Experienced in aviation and aerospace logistics is a big plus
Knowledge of Magaya a big plus
Comfortable using general computer programs
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail is key for this position
Capable of following procedures while taking initiative and making decisions within your tasks.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume and multitask work environment.
Use good judgment while working within established procedures and practices
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
Willingness to learn through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.
