Nova Foods Ltd is a UK-based food wholesaler and retailer offering premium-quality groceries, frozen foods, and catering supplies to both individual and commercial clients. From fresh produce to dairy, meat, and bakery goods, we serve restaurants, retailers, and community outlets across Derbyshire and beyond. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Supervisor to lead our retail and wholesale operations.

As a Sales Supervisor, you will oversee daily retail and wholesale sales activities, supervise sales staff, and ensure smooth, efficient operation of the store and distribution functions. You will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction, coordinating merchandising, and supporting the sales team to achieve performance targets.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate the work of retail and wholesale sales staff to meet company sales goals. Oversee merchandising, product displays, and promotional activities across the store and warehouse. Manage stock control and inventory levels, ensuring product availability and accurate ordering. Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and performance reviews for sales employees. Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure excellent service standards. Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports for management. Liaise with suppliers, logistics, and accounts departments to maintain efficient operations. Ensure compliance with food safety, trading standards, and health and safety regulations. Assist management in implementing marketing initiatives and pricing strategies.

Skills



Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a retail or sales environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on sales metrics. Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other relevant software applications. A strong understanding of customer service principles and practices. Ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
