Job Title: Sales Supervisor

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 41,700 per annum

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operation of the store, ensuring high standards of customer service, compliance, and commercial performance.

Supervise, coordinate, and support store staff, including butchers, counter assistants, stock handlers, and cashiers, Prepare staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage, Monitor staff performance and provide training, Ensure staff follow company procedures and customer service policies, Assist with recruitment, induction, and performance reviews

Oversee daily sales activities to ensure smooth customer service, Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally, Ensure product displays are well-presented, Monitor sales trends and report performance to store management or Director , Promote special offers and seasonal products

Monitor stock levels, Coordinate ordering of stock from approved suppliers to maintain availability and minimise waste

Ensure compliance with UK food hygiene regulations, health and safety standards, and trading standards, Supervise safe handling, storage, and display of raw and cooked meat products, Maintain cleanliness of food preparation and retail areas and ensure compliance by staff

Supervise cash handling procedures and end-of-day cash reconciliation, Assist with weekly sales reports, staff hours reporting, and operational documentation

Open and close the shop when required, Ensure security procedures are followed, Support management in meeting business targets and operational goals, Act as the main point of contact in the absence of senior management
