Talking Heads Cardiff is a well-established and friendly salon in Whitchurch, renowned for providing quality cutting and colour work in a sustainable, cruelty-free environment. We are currently seeking a Salon Assistant to join our team. This is a support role that helps with the daily functioning of the salon, working with our senior stylists. We are looking for a reliable individual whose primary goal is to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and client care.

The core responsibility of the Salon Assistant is to help contribute to the client experience from arrival to departure, while also managing essential back-of-house operations. You will greet clients, offer refreshments, and perform professional hair washing, along with many other day-to-day tasks. We offer flexible working conditions and can offer part-time or full-time hours that work around childcare or other personal commitments.

This is a non-stylist support position, requiring a strong work ethic and good communication skills. You will assist our stylists by accurately mixing colour and chemical treatments, setting up stations, and helping wherever needed to ensure efficiency. A background in hairdressing is not needed; the focus is on reliability, organization, and a professional, friendly manner. Pay: 8.00-12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
