Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in working with various hand tools and sheet metal. As a Saw Operator, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, ensuring high-quality cuts and assembly of materials. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate saws and other cutting machinery to produce precise cuts on steel metal and other materials. Assemble components as per specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product. Grind edges and surfaces to achieve the desired finish on fabricated items. Fabricate parts using appropriate tooling and techniques, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency. Conduct quality checks on finished products, utilising basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to metal fabrication. techniques is advantageous but not essential. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are required.
