We now have a fantastic career opportunity for a permanent Saw Operator who has experience within a engineering/machining environment.

We are looking for:

You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various saws to cut materials according to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Set up and operate saw equipment to cut magnet materials to specified measurements.

Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.

Measure and mark cutting lines accurately using measuring tools.

Monitor saw operation to detect malfunctions or irregular cutting.

Inspect cut materials to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment.

Follow all health and safety guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE.

Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Report any equipment issues or material shortages to the supervisor.

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week on a 3-shift pattern (Shifts will be confirmed in advance on a rota)

Nights (As needed)

We are looking for:

Ideally experience as a saw operator or in a similar machine operation role.

Basic maths skills and mechanical aptitude

Must be a team player but have the confidence and ability to work with limited supervision

Good communicator both verbal and written

Must be driven to succeed, hit targets and goals

Be willing to learn and develop his/her own skills as needed

Be flexible and willing to take on additional training and responsibilities
