Job Description

Anglian Scaffolding, a contractor of choice in East Anglia, is looking for a Scaffolding Manager to join our management team to support and oversee our operations and projects. Part of the Anglian Group, we have been operating since 2007, providing clients with the full range of services for their projects.

As the Scaffolding Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and safe delivery of all scaffolding operations across assigned projects. This role ensures compliance with health & safety legislation, industry standards, and our Company procedures while delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan, manage and oversee scaffolding labour, materials and logistics provisions for scaffolding activities on project sites.

Support scaffolding opportunities with existing and new clients, involving the pricing, tendering and winning of new project works in conjunction with the Senior Scaffolding Manager.

Manage client/customer site contacts from award through to completion.

Overseeing site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope and set budgets.

Maintaining and enforcing high standards of health and safety across all operations ensuring full compliance with HSE legislation, Work at Height Regulations, and relevant standards (e.g. TG20:21, standards)

Ensure all scaffolding is inspected and certified in accordance with statutory requirements

Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures

Conduct staff training, including toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inductions

Promote a strong safety culture across all teams

Assist the scaffolding division with recruiting and retaining scaffolding operatives as required

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and site teams

Lead, supervise, and motivate scaffolders and supervisors to deliver our site standards.

Client liaison acting as a main point of contact for scaffolding related matters and client support.

Supporting the Senior Scaffolding Manager and wider senior management team in the strategic growth and development of the business.

Qualifications & Experience



Essential:



Valid CSCS/ CISRS Advanced Scaffolder/ Manager qualification or equivalent Proven experience managing scaffolding operations on live construction sites Strong working knowledge of scaffolding legislation and best practice Excellent knowledge of scaffolding systems and industry standards High level of health & safety awareness Ability to read and interpret drawings and scaffolding designs Strong communication and problem-solving skills Commercial awareness and cost control ability

Desirable:



SMSTS qualification Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator training IOSH qualification Experience across commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects

Working Hours:

Between the core office hours of Monday-Friday, 06:30 am-5:00pm (47.5 hours per week)

This is a full-time, permanent role.
