We're seeking an experienced and motivated Scheduler to join our Property Services team at North Yorkshire Highways. This is a varied and rewarding role involving a mix of capital projects and responsive maintenance work across a range of commercial properties

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in scheduling and coordinating maintenance work? We're looking for a proactive Scheduler to join our dynamic team, supporting the delivery of critical response maintenance projects across North Yorkshire Council's network.

In this role, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, and Field Teams to ensure all maintenance activities are effectively scheduled, coordinated, and delivered on time. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain clear communication will be key to keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to align resources and timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure project goals are met. Regular updates and reports to stakeholders will be part of your routine, along with supporting compliance with safety and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



You will be responsible for cost forecasting and the use of contract programmes and risk registers, using your skills to forecast profitability and look at cost/budget/value comparisons and cash flow.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:



Literacy and numeracy skills to Level 2 or equivalent

Previous proven experience in construction management and operations.

Strong commitment to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental principles.

Understanding and awareness of good customer service principles and practices.

Have a systematic and timely approach to decision making, problem solving and change management.

Good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
