WHAT WILL THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR JOB LOOK LIKE:
The School Administrator works Monday to Friday and is the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, students and staff. As the 'face' of the school the School Administrator should be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly.
To be the first point of contact for visitors to the school, extending a warm welcome to callers - including parents, visitors, contractors and staff.
To support the school enrolment and admission procedure, including the maintenance of children's records.
To manage and organise the School diary whilst liaising with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Management of teaching staff clocking in and out procedures ahead of payroll
Following safer recruitment procedures for induction of new team members, including interviews, processing references and DBS check, as delegated by SLT.
Logging of data collection requirements for the setting, including Attendance records, Safeguarding information, Admissions Register information and classroom daily checks.
Supporting with finance related administration including fee queries, payroll administration & queries.
In addition, it is essential that the person for this role is technically confident, organized, able to multi-task, work flexibly and have a 'can do' approach to work.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Somebody with a real passion for supporting the leadership of an exceptional Independent School
An experienced Administrator with at least 2 years' in a post of a similar nature
Proven Customer Service skills
Experience of working with MS packages including Excel
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to use your own initiative & work as part of a team
Skilled in prioritising workloads
Able to represent the company values 'The Ashbridge Approach' in all areas of work.
Please note that this a full year post (not term time only) and works 8am - 5pm/ 40 hours per week.

In line with the statutory guidance document Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025), Ashbridge Independent School will conduct online searches after the shortlisting process for any candidates who accept an invitation to interview.
