Want to make a lasting difference in a child's educational journey?
Be the vital link that helps every child find their place in school
This is an amazing part time opportunity for 15.5 hours over minimum three days per week (hours to be agreed)
Who We Are
Our service makes arrangements in accordance with a variety of relevant legislation and a wide range of admissions authority policies to guarantee that all parents/carers have the opportunity to apply for and access a school place, including the right of appeal.
The Children Missing Education element of the service ensures that the local authority meets its statutory duty in respect of having arrangements in place to enable it to establish the identities of children and young people residing in the area who are not receiving a suitable education and ensure that they access such as soon as possible.
What will my day look like?
The post holder will ensure that, in partnership with other services and stakeholders, those children arriving into and leaving the authority are tracked to their new educational establishment.
This is a varied role requiring technical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to continually reprioritise workload to coordinate school admissions applications and appeals, track children arriving into, moving around or leaving the area and provide impartial advice and guidance to parents/carers and all relevant stakeholders both within and external to the local authority.
