1. Job Details

(a) Responsible to: Manager, Deputy Manager

(c) Working Hours: Full/ Part Time

(d) Salary Range: As per contract

Essential:

Valid driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points

Evidence of adequate Insurance

*The Nursery provides vehicles for school collections. However if you choose to use your own car, then Class 2 Business Insurance is required

Experience driving for at least 3 years (1 of which can be on "R" plates)

At least 21 years old (due to Insurance requirements)

Desirable:

Have previous experience working with children

Knowledge of the schools and nurseries within Rascals area

Have previous experience driving in this capacity

Valid Paediatric First Aid

Job Summary
To read and sign Conditions of use of Company Vehicle Agreement and Own Vehicle Agreement set out by Rascals

To drop off and collect children from nursery or school and transport them safely back to Rascals

Ensure each child is strapped in using the seat belts and booster seats (age appropriate) at all times

Ensure all children are left into the appropriate room with a member of staff

To follow the roles and responsibilities and professional conduct set out by the nursery

3.Key Responsibilities:

To comply with all Rascals Policies and procedures

To ensure confidentiality of information relating to the children and families is upheld at all times

To ensure that your school run list is collected before your first run and that you understand it

Ensure you are on time for each child

Never leave children alone in the vehicle, always take them with you.

Responsible for the safety of each child within your care while transporting them from A to B

To ensure the vehicle is kept clean, has fuel and is running well

To be aware of all special dietary requirements and allergies for Children in your care including emergency medication

Report any faults or problems immediately to the nursery manager

Make sure you are aware if the vehicle is petrol or diesel

Report immediately if a child is not present at the located area

Ensure your mobile phones is fully charged and switched on at all times
