The Opportunity:
The senior Student Leader (Postgraduate) will work closely with academic and professional services teams, student representatives and the wider student community to maintain open lines of communication with the student community and ensure they are represented.
This role will be line managed by our Student Development Coordinator at 7hrs per week. Exact working pattern can be discussed upon appointment. The fixed term duration of the role is set to match the academic year.
This post is a classed as a student experience positions and as such is only open to current University of Edinburgh students.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Either vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 2/3, ONC or equivalent) plus relevant work experience OR School education to standard grade or equivalent plus relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures including standard software packages and possibly some knowledge of non-standard software, and a willingness to learn new skills as required and undertake appropriate training.
A comprehensive knowledge of the School of PPLS, gained as a current student within the School and an understanding of the diverse profile of students within the School.
Good written and oral communication skills; good numeracy and literacy skills.
Good digital skills; using multiple software platforms, including University of Edinburgh systems.
