School Technical Technician (0362)
Sgoil Lionacleit / Castlebay School, Western Isles
37hrs per week year round, full time, permanent
\xc2\xa325,112 - \xc2\xa326,192 per annum (Inclusive of \xc2\xa32,541 Distant Islands Allowance)
Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
You will provide general support and maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment in schools. You will provide practical support to technical teaching staff at Sgoil Lionacleit 4 days per week and Castlebay School one day per week. Liaising with the Head Teacher / PT Technical in Sgoil Lionacleit and Castlebay Schools and the Senior Resources Officer for machinery repairs and maintenance and safety concerns.
You should have experience of working with machinery in a workshop environment, a knowledge of COSSH and safe storage of materials, and a knowledge of the reporting requirements under RIDDOR .
You should also have basic engineering skills.
Driving licence is essential.
