As a Skate Hire Member & Ice Marshall you will be constantly interacting with customers and other staff members including Management. Your main aim is to ensure that all customers have a safe and enjoyable visit here at Planet Ice.

Job Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:

Making sure that skate hire is open and ready for business as and when required. Handing out hire skates to our customers, and assisting with sizing questions as and when required. Ensuring that all skates are checked regularly and that any defects are put to one side and a note given to the duty manager at the end of each shift. Responsible for general cleaning duties during your shifts. These will include the cleaning of the following areas:
Skate hire, toilets, flooring around the Ice rink perimeter. Other cleaning duties may be required when advised by your Supervisor.

In the event of an emergency and the building being evacuated, you will assist with clearing your area. You will be responsible for ensuring that skate hire is kept clean and tidy and that there are no trip hazards. You may be asked to place flyers in skates leading up to holidays etc. and feel able to discuss events with customers. You must communicate with reception during busy session with skate size availability. You should be polite and courteous at all times to the general public. You will make sure that you attend your shift at all times in a well presented manner and wear the company uniform (if issued) while on duty. Stewarding on the Ice making sure people are skating in a safe environment. Ice Rink Assistants must be able to skate competently. You must attend all staff training session scheduled You will help assist with any accidents within the Planet Ice facility. Complete tasks included in opening and closing check sheets.
There may be times when you are required to undertake duties and responsibilities within other departments to assist in the smooth running of the operation.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
