Job Overview:



We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various projects aimed at developing and engaging young people in schools across Liverpool City Region through sports and educational initiatives. This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, and a passion for supporting young people to develop positive life skills.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Personal Development:



? Implement and further develop our successful Personal Development project tailored to the needs of the young people.

? Lead and motivate a team of mentors, providing clear direction and support.

? Facilitate training and development opportunities for mentors and wider school staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness.

? Collaborate with schools, parents, and wider organisations to identify and engage participants.

? Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation to meet participant needs.

? Identify opportunities to extend the project beyond the current geographical boundaries.

? Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective programme delivery.

2. Leadership Academy:



? Deliver the LSSP Leadership Academy for secondary aged students, focusing on developing leadership skills, personal development, and academic achievement.

? Develop and deliver engaging and impactful training opportunities including, and not limited to, team building, first aid, mental wellbeing, health & safety and safeguarding.

? Facilitate the delivery of school based, student led 'nurture' clubs and other leadership and volunteer opportunities.

? Foster a culture of co-creation and pupil voice to support the delivery of student led 'nurture' clubs.

? Develop partnerships with schools, universities, and wider organisations to provide additional development opportunities for academy participants.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation



? Develop and implement strategies to meet agreed KPIs, providing regular reports on progress and outcomes.

4. Grant Funding



? Investigate and apply for potential grant funding opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:



? Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Youth Work, Sports (Coaching/Science), Mentoring, Social Work or a related field.

? Proven experience of working with secondary aged young people. ? Strong understanding of the challenges faced by disaffected young people and effective strategies to address them.

? Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

? Experience in developing and managing grant-funded programmes with a track record of meeting KPIs and working to an agreed budget.

Contract: All LSSP staff operate on a 12 month rolling contract.

Pay: 35,412.00-37,280.00 per year
