Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Security Officer/Bouncer (Door Supervisor), your role is to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and performers while maintaining a welcoming and secure environment at the venue. You will manage entry, check IDs, monitor crowd behaviour, and de-escalate conflict calmly and professionally.

Reports To: Venue Manager / Head of Security
Employment Type: Part-time / Casual / Event-based

Key Responsibilities:

Entry Control

Check IDs and refuse entry to underage or intoxicated individuals Enforce venue policies including dress code, guest list, or ticket checks Use radios to communicate with bar staff, management, and other security
Safety & Incident Management

Monitor customer behaviour inside and outside the venue De-escalate tensions and remove disruptive or aggressive individuals Respond quickly to emergencies, first aid situations, or altercations Keep accurate incident reports and logs when required
Venue Security

Patrol key areas including entrances, toilets, smoking areas, and car parks Ensure fire exits, capacity limits, and venue security measures are respected Support evacuation procedures or emergency response if necessary
Requirement

Essential Desirable Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence First Aid Certificate (Preferred) Professional, calm and confident Experience in a live music or nightclub environment Physically fit and alert Conflict Management or Physical Intervention training Strong communication skills Local area knowledge beneficial Team player with good judgement Crowd control experience
Working Hours:

Evenings, late nights, weekends Event-based shifts; flexibility required

Pay: 12.21-18.00 per hour
