A supportive and inclusive primary school in

Islington

is seeking a

dedicated SEN support assistant

to work 1:1 with a

Year 5 pupil

who has epilepsy or seizure-related medical needs. This role is essential in ensuring the pupil's safety, emotional well-being, and access to learning throughout the school day.

About the Role

You will:

Provide consistent monitoring, emotional support, and reassurance to the pupil Be a calm, responsive presence in class and during unstructured times Act swiftly and appropriately in the event of a medical concern Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the school's medical team to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children or young people with epilepsy or medical needs (or is willing to undertake training) Remains calm, confident, and focused in health-related or emergency situations Communicates clearly and effectively with both students and staff Demonstrates sensitivity, patience, and reliability in one-to-one support roles
