to join our Year 1 team. This role is pivotal in supporting the learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development of pupils with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Autism, ADHD, and behavioural difficulties.
Implement personalised learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to deliver targeted interventions.
Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and social interaction skills.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to parents and staff.
About You
Previous experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges is
essential
.
Calm, empathetic, and patient approach to managing challenging behaviour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques such as Team Teach (or similar) is desirable.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are preferred.
