An alternative provision in Welling supports children and young people
who have an Education Health and Care Plan.
The setting provides small class groups or one to one learning and focuses on building strong routines and relationships that help each pupil feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
The role will involve supporting academic learning at Level 1 and Level 2, with a particular focus on Functional Skills English. You will be working with learners who present with autism, SEMH and trauma related needs, so prior experience in a similar setting is essential.
We are looking for candidates who
Have a year experience working in SEN or alternative provision setting
Have a good understanding of autism, SEMH and trauma informed approaches
Are confident supporting Functional Skills, particularly English
Can build positive relationships and provide consistent academic support
Hourly rate is between 13 and 16, depending on experience.
