Would you like to develop your career in financial administration with this important role within our team? In this varied and interesting role you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and business process tasks to support the service with a strong focus on financial management and support including contact with external suppliers and tenants.

About the role



You will be ensuring the provision of financial management services for the team, which is responsible for managing the council's commercial and public property, redevelopment projects and delivering new affordable homes and will also be line manager the Accounting Business Support Officer. The role includes providing general business support to the Property Services team e.g. maintenance of records, complaints and FOI requests. With the Accounting Business Support Officer, you will be providing financial and general administrative support for the operation of our property portfolio, delivery of our planned and responsive maintenance programmes, New Build and Independent Living refurbishment programmes as well as one-off property projects.

About you



The postholder will be analytical and have a good understanding of general finance and administrative duties, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to demonstrate a professional and courteous manner with colleagues and customers and manage your own time and workloads within deadlines is important.
