About the Role

We are seeking experienced and dedicated

Senior Care Assistants

to join our team in a well-established

nursing home

in Gateshead. This role is available on both

full-time day

and

full-time night

shifts, working 44 hours per week.

You must hold an

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

(or equivalent) and have previous experience working as a

Senior Care Assistant

in a nursing home or care home environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the care team on shift, ensuring high standards of care are maintained Provide personal care, support with daily living tasks, and promote residents' independence Administer medication in line with policies and procedures Maintain accurate care records and update care plans as required Support new and junior staff through mentoring and guidance Liaise with residents' families and healthcare professionals to ensure person-centred care

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

(or equivalent) - Essential Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a

nursing home or care home

- Essential Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Compassionate and professional approach to elderly care Ability to work effectively as part of a team
