Old Amersham Hotels in Buckinghamshire is home to two unique 4 hotels The Kings Arms Hotel and The Crown Inn. Old Amersham Hotels is also home to a unique wedding venue The Chapel which is suited within the grounds of The Kings Arms.*

Main purpose of job:

A Chef de Partie is responsible for food preparation. The primary duties include preparing food before meal service begins and responsible for preparing breakfast.

The Kings Arms Hotel High Street, Amersham, Bucks HP7 0DJ

Shift pattern:

Monday-Sundays between the hours of 7am-11pm

Main tasks of job:

Setting up the kitchen prior to the restaurants opening Managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed. Plating cooked foods Preparing the kitchen station by bringing all food container to that point in the line Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes Cleaning and sanitizing their area with warm water and soap Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift Ensuring all food products to be prepared are not expired. Assisting in monthly health and safety checks. Plating food creatively and maximizing customer enjoyment Staying up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes with the Sous Chef. Ensuring standard portions and quality of dishes. Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and ensuring sanitation practices in the kitchen. Assist with deep cleans Assigning tasks to other chefs and kitchen porters. Ensuring the kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards Follow functions sheets to meet the requirements of guests Follow the companies policies and procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills In depth knowledge of the standards of baking, cooking and grilling techniques Ability to work under pressure and in a face paced environment
