The role
The Senior Compliance Manager will have considerable autonomy while also being a key member of the Compliance Team. There are currently two direct reports but the role holder will have access to other resource in the compliance team to support activity.

Key accountabilities
Working under your own initiative to take the lead on planning and completing compliance projects.
A key role in horizon scanning and communicating relevant developments to the business and, where necessary, working with the business to implement change.
Leading for Compliance on business projects requiring regulatory input including new opportunities internationally.
Developing strong relationships with the business and growing your "own portfolio" and brand.
Liaison with capital providers such as the Fidelis Insurance Group compliance
Preparing Compliance reports, including Board reports, and
Supporting the annual review of policies, procedures and guidance
Supporting the design and delivery of the annual Compliance Plan including a stock take of all compliance procedures for the new entity.
Identifying; creating and helping deliver training.
Third party contact. As a solo regulated firms, direct contact with regulators is limited but, where needed, the role holder might easily be the point of contact for regulators. There are also opportunities to deal with third parties such as legal counsel.

Skills & experience
Compliance experience with insurance or client facing intermediaries (i.e. the intermediary for the insured/ policyholder)
Strong written and spoken communication skills to enable communication at all levels.
Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
Ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word; PowerPoint and Excel.
Knowledge of the regulatory landscape for Ireland and Bermuda (preferred)
