DIMENSIONS OF ROLE



Normal working hours will be 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (inclusive), including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked; making a total of 35 working hours per week. Three days based in the office at Lord's.

KEY PURPOSE

OF ROLE


The senior conceptual designer plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative, brand-led creative across all areas of the Club. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Creative and based at Lord's Cricket Ground, you'll be responsible for producing compelling design solutions that span digital, print, merchandise, events, signage, and more.

This position requires a highly experienced and conceptually strong designer who can take ownership of projects from brief through to execution. You'll be required to demonstrate flexibility to changing briefs in a fast-paced environment and with proven technical ability. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver effective, on-brand visual communications that support the Club's strategic goals.

The successful candidate will bring a blend of corporate and creative experience, and will act as a key driver of the Club's visual identity, ensuring all output is consistently high-quality, engaging and aligned with brand standards.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES




Highly creative with proven ability to conceptualise ideas, deliver imaginative and compelling visual communications from campaign concepts to logo design. Taking responsibility for projects from initial brief to completion and supporting the Head of Brand and Creative to ensure all projects remain on brief and within deadlines. Work closely with internal teams and create a wide variety of marketing collateral across 360 channels. Exceptional design skills with a sound knowledge of artworking for print and digital processes. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively, work independently and collaboratively, to ensure that multiple projects are delivered against tight deadlines and to quality standards.

VARIATIONS OF JOB RELATING TO MAJOR MATCHES



Attendance at all major match-days, including weekends, as required. Any other duties, whether in the Department or elsewhere around the Ground, as required.




HEALTH AND SAFETY




Responsible for the safety of yourself and others through adherence to MCC (and legal) safety rules and procedures. Report any unsafe practices, equipment or circumstances as appropriate. Comply fully with relevant security policies and procedures. Be familiar with fire procedures and evacuation procedures and be prepared to operate when/if trained as a Fire Warden.




PERSON SPECIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS




Minimum 5 years' experience in a creative agency or similar environment. Design degree or equivalent qualification. A strong interest in sport is essential, passion for cricket and understanding of fan culture, media consumption trends and the broader sports landscape. Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and execution across digital, print, and branding. Multidisciplinary mindset with experience across 360 channels $u including social, ATL, experiential, and digital. Proven ability to lead projects from brief to delivery, working independently and collaboratively. Confident presenting ideas and articulating creative thinking to both internal stakeholders and external partners. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere), PowerPoint, and Mac OS. Skilled at designing and typesetting for long format layouts. Knowledge of best practices in file management and archiving. Experienced managing external suppliers to uphold high production and brand standards. Prior experience working in a sports-related environment is an advantage. Creative, curious, and confident in challenging briefs with fresh, progressive ideas. Energetic, proactive and solutions-focused, with a positive, can-do attitude. Adaptable and self-motivated, able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented and collaborative, with a willingness to support others and contribute to a positive culture. Committed to maintaining high standards of design, with strong attention to detail. Open to feedback, keen to learn, and passionate about exploring new ideas, technologies and design trends.
