Senior Finance Analyst

Job Description


Prepworld has expanded rapidly, as such, we require the addition of a Senior Finance Analyst to the Financial Analysis team. Reporting into the Finance Business Partner they will provide support and analysis for margins, costs and provide a foundation for forward planning.
Main Duties:

  • Support weekly financial reporting process (covering when required)
  • Providing analysis & commentary for Management Account Packs
  • Own product costings (EPD & NPD), providing feedback and support to the Commercial Team and keeping models up to date with latest assumptions
  • Monthly and quarterly commercial reporting to the business on trading performance (PBS)
  • Managing 3 months & full year sales forecasts
  • Monitor costs within the business, recommending and tracking CPIs where required
  • Undertake pre and post promotional analysis
  • Key role for budgets, reforecasts and Year-end activities (owning 5yr P&L, commercial, packaging budget, transport budget)
  • Support cross-functional reporting and projects
  • Support and deliver cross-functional training (Excel)
  • Key partner for one department (Commercial but TBC)
  • Ad-hoc projects/analysis
Who we are looking for:
(Qualifications, Experience)
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree in an Accounting / Finance or Business related subject
  • Final stage or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • 2 years relevant experience within a similar role
  • Experience of an industry focussed on gross margins (desirable)
(Knowledge and skills)
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills. Accustomed to working with, interpreting and presenting data
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, reporting and analysis experience with high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders across all functions
  • Proven time management skills: Accustomed to working with and meeting time critical deadlines and an ability to prioritise workload
  • IT skills \xe2\x80\x93 advanced Excel skills (vlookups, sumifs, Pivot tables, etc., VBA desirable). Proficient with Word and Microsoft Outlook. Experience of Power BI (desirable)

Days and hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 with 1 hour unpaid break each day Mix of office and home working. Due to the location of the site, own car is useful. Occasional travel to BerryWorld head office (Turnford, Hertfordshire) required (1-2 times a year) Salary: Up to \xc2\xa345,000 for the successful candidate DOE
