The role

  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts for the organisation and its group
  • Deliver accurate monthly reporting and key balance sheet reviews
  • Complete Whole of Government Accounts submissions
  • Provide trusted technical accounting advice to colleagues across the organisation
  • Support the control environment and contribute to process improvements
  • Work closely with auditors and senior internal stakeholders
  • Support capital, grant and financial accounting activity across multiple streams

  • Strong background in financial accounting and statutory reporting * Confident with data manipulation and advanced Excel * Able to work with a holistic view across grants, capital, revenue and group areas * Comfortable providing technical advice to a wide range of stakeholders * CCAB qualified
