Overview:
The role of Senior HR Manager covers a number of businesses under an informal group structure including:
Control Group International.
Hedgehog Works.
High Spirits Leisure.
Anytime Fitness Franchises x4.
However, the main employment will be under CG International UK, who will charge the other businesses accordingly for the Senior HR Managers time.
and Key Responsibilities of the role:
The Senior HR Manager is responsible for at peak time, circa 150 FTE employees ranging from skilled engineers and chefs, to customer facing employees within both B2B and B2C markets.
This is a fantastic opportunity to establish HR and People foundations across a number of companies and drive the People agenda.
In this role you will work closely with the site based senior management teams to provide accurate, timely and business focused advice to the operational management.
This will include acting as the HR lead on employee relations cases, providing guidance and support to both management and staff relating to the application of current and forthcoming employment legislation, providing expert advice and guidance in support of any necessary change management programmes, as well as working in partnership with the resourcing employee in regards to recruitment and retention.
Experience in providing operational HR and employee relations support to a geographically diverse, people centric business, with an emphasis on employee relations. Good knowledge of employment law and the ability to influence at different levels of the organisation are essential as are your excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This role will support our business in the Lake District, Cheshire and throughout Europe and you will be expected to be on site on a regular basis.

As this is a diverse role you will find that you will be required to support and require the support of all departments. Key links must be maintained with the Group's growth strategy in order to demonstrate an understanding of the resourcing requirements of all departments and then provide the relevant recruitment support.
Ideal location:
The groups head office is based in the idyllic town of Bollington in Cheshire, England with additional offices based where HSL's central production unit is the iconic location of Windermere in the Lake District, England.
There are a number of other site locations, which the fitness centres are based which are predominately located between the Bollington Office and the Windermere one.
Control Group has a number of other sub subsidiary offices based throughout Europe and additional ones outside of this area pending.
As this document will outline there will be some travelling throughout these locations from time to time, however as a benchmark summary:
40% of time at the Bollington office.
40% of time at the Windermere office.
20% of the time elsewhere.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver a clear coherent HR strategy across the group enitities & regions.
Have clarity of the company's vision and working closely with regional teams to influencing the leaders and colleagues across the business about the new exciting HR operating model, and adopting new ways of working.
Manage the HR life cycle activities (on-boarding, off-boarding etc).
Manage the pay and benefits proposition as well as the management of the various incentive schemes for employees.
Ensure that all aspects of HR policies, processes and procedures are aligned with the business' organisational climate, and are fully compliant with local employment laws, tax systems and other regulatory compliance.
Support of key projects with direct impact on HR Operations e.g. GDPR, systems upgrades / module deployments, new payroll centralisation project.
Create and manage data accuracy audits.
Implementing HR Operations best practices, whilst using technology to create best in class employee experience.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
Demonstrable leadership and transformation experience within a forward-thinking HR Operations environment.
Strategic HR experience and sound knowledge of best practice (including current employment law).
Strong people leadership skills with an ability to inspire the highest levels of performance from their team .
Experience of leading and evolving processes, systems and driving change.
Experience of transforming, continuously improving the effectiveness/efficiency of processes and data.
Proven experience in project or programme management, with successful delivery of key initiatives on time and on budget. Project management certification would be advantageous.
Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical capability, with a proven ability to think strategically and then translate those strategies into actionable plans. Big picture thinker with sufficient attention to detail to ensure successful delivery.
Experience in champion data, metrics and insights and the use of HR data to enable the team to make intelligent decisions.
Lead on HR systems to ensure the safety of our data, drive efficiency and provide the best service to our management population and employees.
Highly organised with ability to plan, prioritise and multitask high volumes of daily service/ work requests.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office and HR databases.
A strong commercial focus and the ability to build long term relationships
