We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior IT Technician to join our dedicated support team at Talbot Heath School. This is an exciting time to join as we carry out important service and infrastructure upgrades across the school. You'll play a key role in improving our technology environment, supporting projects that directly benefit staff and students, and ensuring our systems remain reliable and efficient.

You will provide first- and second-line support across a wide range of devices and systems, including Windows, Apple, and AV equipment, and help manage our digital learning environment, including iPads through JAMF Pro and technology in our STEAM hub. We are looking for a practical, problem-solving IT professional who enjoys supporting colleagues and contributing to improvements. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of IT projects and make a noticeable impact on the school's day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will be:

A confident and approachable

IT professional with excellent communication skills, able to assist users of all ages and technical abilities, and take ownership of key IT projects.

?

Technically skilled

, with hands-on experience in Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AV systems, and hardware troubleshooting, able to lead complex technical tasks and upgrades.

?

Organised and proactive

, capable of prioritising tasks effectively, responding to helpdesk requests, and supporting ongoing infrastructure improvements with a calm, solution-focused attitude.

A collaborative team player

, comfortable working alongside teaching staff, pupils, and colleagues to support and enhance the school's digital learning environment.

Committed to continuous improvement

, eager to develop their knowledge, adapt to new technologies, and contribute to practical improvements across the school's IT systems.

Position:

Permanent, term-time only plus 8 weeks during school closures.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (30 minutes for lunch)

Salary:

14.51 per hour 26,988.60 (FTE 28,294.50)
