Senior Leisure Assistant

Oundle, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Oundle School Sports Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Leisure Assistant to join our friendly team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for enthusiastic individuals with leadership potential, whether you are an experienced leisure professional or someone with a few years in the industry, we encourage you to apply.

The Role

As a Senior Leisure Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the supervision and management of our team of Leisure Assistants. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of Leisure Assistants, ensuring they deliver quality service and maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. In the absence of the Operations Manager, you will step in to ensure smooth operations, demonstrating your leadership and problem-solving skills. Your responsibilities will include supervising Leisure Assistants, supporting the Operations Manager, and supporting administration for the commercial and school allocation timetable, fielding incoming enquiries. You will provide excellent customer service, ensuring the safety of members and pupils, and maintaining and preparing sporting facilities for use. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support the lifeguard training programme to meet RLSS standards if qualified. In addition to your supervisory duties, you will act as a security key holder, responsible for opening and closing the building, and cover as Manager on Duty as required to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), with proven experience in the leisure industry, the ability to work as part of and lead a team, and be adaptable to a flexible working pattern. While a Pool Plant Qualification is essential to fulfil the role, training opportunities are available within probation for the right candidate. An RLSS Trainer qualification is desirable but not essential therefore we encourage all enthusiastic candidates with leadership potential to consider this opportunity.

Hours:

Average of 40 hours per week, with a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends, 52 weeks a year.

Salary:

28,366 - 29,352 per annum dependent on RLSS Trainer qualification.
