Role Overview
This senior position offers a key opportunity to lead important client relationships and manage complex tax projects that will influence the future of the tax practice. Working closely with partners and senior leaders, you will help develop and implement strategies to support client success and business growth, while also guiding the wider practice team.
This is an autonomous role, responsible for managing projects, maximising fee income, identifying new business opportunities, controlling work-in-progress, and overseeing billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, providing expert advisory on M&A, tax due diligence, share option schemes, restructures, reorganisations, succession, exit planning (including buybacks, capital reductions, and MBOs).
Conduct technical compliance reviews of corporate tax computations prepared by the team.
Build and maintain trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities to broaden services.
Stay informed on tax legislation changes, sharing insights to ensure compliance and highlight planning opportunities.
Contribute to the corporate tax department's strategic direction, including business development and process improvements.
Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and business networking activities.
Ideally, have some knowledge/experience in personal tax, VAT, and Stamp Duty/Stamp Duty Land Tax.
Requirements
Proven success and experience in corporate tax management.
Strong technical skills with an ability to advise strategically on complex tax matters.
Excellent communication and relationship management abilities that inspire confidence internally and externally.
Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
Professional CTA qualification.
Proficiency in tax software and solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
Salary
49,630.95 - 70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
