Opportunity

WeTransfer Advertising (WTA) is a core pillar of the WeTransfer business. Our premium ads differentiate us from other publishers and our users and clients love our ads. WeTransfer has historically operated a \'\'freemium model\'\', generating revenue from advertising on the site for anonymous and free users, as well as through subscriptions across all other products. Currently, the annual revenue is roughly 50/50 split between Advertising and Subscriptions.

WTA has seen significant growth in recent years, but the current macroeconomic environment has resulted in a need for us to adjust and prepare for the future. To enable significant future growth, our team needs to undergo significant transformation, in our focus, ways of working and go-to-market.

To take our advertising proposition and business to the next level, globally, WeTransfer Advertising is now looking for a Sales Strategy and Operations Senior Manager. This person will work closely with leadership across regions and with the VP of Strategy & Ops to support strategic planning and be a business partner to the country leadership.

They will be vigilant in understanding market opportunities, both within their region and centrally. They will also oversee the execution of our Strategy Roadmap and transformation of the team.

This is a highly strategic, commercial role in an environment that is constantly changing and therefore requires a combination of focus, flexibility and adaptability. You must enjoy working and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve buy-in and drive organization wide impact.

You will:

Be a core part of commercial and strategic planning process, including executing on key initiatives within long term Advertising strategy, supporting the WTA LT with roadmap

Translate the broader strategy into a compelling team vision and goals; aligns the team and sets priorities to achieve objectives

Be the strategic partner to the global country leaders, supporting in development of the country strategy, delivering analysis to support decision making and prioritisation of opportunities

Be proficient in market and competitor analysis, identifying where the biggest opportunities lie, including which clients / verticals / opportunities the sales team can focus on

Lead quarterly and annual planning sessions with extended WTA LT understand priorities, strategic challenges and to iterate on operational models

Articulate and prioritize strategic choices, based on internal and external research and analysis to support WTA LT

Develop long term operating model design and roadmaps for execution and identify gaps in the current model

Develop and maintain segmentation of our customer portfolio and identify opportunities to expand into new verticals, markets, products and/or countries

Keep WTA leadership up to date on developments, and develop processes that allow us to drive toward our strategy with clarity and accountability, remaining agile and flexible when needed

Form productive working relationships with senior leaders across other Business Units such as Product, Brand, Studio, Product, PR and Marketing, to ensure that department growth plans and focus reflect the overall organisational strategic priorities for WT

You have:

5 - 7+ years of experience in management consulting, sales strategy and operations teams, advertising or media experience is bonus

Ability to make decisions with confidence, based on analysis of available information to drive business success. ability to analyze data, derive key insights, diagnose business issues, formulate and operationalize the strategic plan

Strategic Planning - Successful experience building prioritization frameworks, setting corporate OKRs, structuring tactical roadmaps, and working with teams to ensure execution

Problem Solving & Creative Thinking - Ability to break down a complex problem into component parts, and develop prioritized solutions. Ability to transform creative ideas into practical reality. Can look at existing situations and problems in novel ways and come up with creative solutions.

Competitive Edge - Applies deep knowledge of disruptive trends and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement

Insight-driven execution - Ability to lead insight-infused discussions to enable stakeholders to commit to the execution of a strategy / plan, leveraging industry trends and deep insights

Innovation - Ability to explore how forces of change potentially impact our business and industry and identify relevant opportunities

Collaborative Stakeholder Management - Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across different stakeholders. Ability to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others. Able to use different influencing techniques to convince stakeholders. Ability to build deep relationships across a diverse network, using a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact.

Communication - Ability to get one\'s message understood clearly by adopting a range of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience. To be transparent and keep people up to speed on issues.
