We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Payroll Advisor for a temporary opportunity (2 months) to support the Payroll team.
Main Responsibilities
Process a payroll from start to finish across multiple contracts and within the designated timeframe
Process pay in accordance with various National / Pay Agreements
Review and implement pay rate increases in line with various National / Pay Agreements along with the calculation and processing of any associated back pay where required
Process new starters, leavers and any associated payments
Calculate Redundancy payments
Calculate and process Statutory and Occupational payments
Audit work of peers to ensure accuracy and provide constructive feedback in case of errors
Assist the Payroll Supervisor with analysing and finalising all payrolls and payments, ensuring accuracy prior to payroll sign off
Produce and analyse reports for various departments across the business
Deal promptly and professionally with payroll queries
Liase with other departments to ensure communication lines are clear and deadlines are met
Follow and enforce implemented payroll policy, processes and procedures
Assist with current ongoing payroll projects, including the implementation of a new payroll system
Assist with Year End duties, including but not limited to Tax Year End Process, Processing of Benefits in Kind and the production of P11d's and nnual Increases
Maintain records and filing to a high standard
Maintain up to date knowledge of payroll and pension legislation, including but not limited to Benefits in Kind, Tax Year End Processes and Mandatory reporting
Experience
Payroll experience in a fast-paced, high-volume working environment is essential
Good working Knowledge of Microsoft office including intermediate excel skills
Up to date knowledge of payroll and pension legislation and HMRC reporting requirements
A good understanding of National Agreements would be desirable in particular NAECI, JIB, CIJC
Qualificiactions
Recognised CIPP payroll qualification would be desirable but not essential
