Job Description


Square Enix External Studios has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Producer. The right candidate will be working on one of our most important AAA IPs. The Senior Producer role is based in London with WFH opportunities.

The Senior Producer will be responsible for managing the development of the game, ensuring the project delivers against its business goals while maintaining a strong relationship with the partner development studio(s) and key internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

Key Deliverables:

  • Work hand-in-hand with other members of the production team, deliver the game to the specification, on time and on budget while refining plans as the game evolves throughout development to achieve commercial success.
  • Continually challenge assumptions, and proactively drive development and delivery of the product.
  • Provide coordination and direction to ensure the developers vision is always in alignment with our own.
  • Responsible for arranging user / focus tests and making formal change recommendations based on the results.
  • Create, implement, manage, assess and approve regular developer milestones and project goals in conjunction with the other members of the production team to expose exactly where the game is and exactly what is left to do.
  • Schedule, supervise, control and document production plans and processes.
  • Drive definitions, targets and quality benchmarks for the final product.
  • Work with the developer and project stakeholders to predict, identify and resolve problems before they occur.
  • Design, plan and present a variety of PowerPoint and code demonstrations for both internal and external uses as needed throughout the development cycle.
  • Work with our usability testing teams to identify strategies and plans to measure and trend the quality for each key feature over time while ensuring we understand where the quality of the game will land on release.
  • Conduct regular mid-mortems and a final post-mortem while sharing the findings with the wider group.
  • Building project budgets and negotiating costs with external suppliers.
  • Contribute an active understanding of market trends, patterns and customer requirements in international markets for games and hardware.

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:
  • A proven track record of producing successful video games which have a significant financial impact on the business.
  • Knowledge of game production methodologies, pipelines and technical requirements.
  • Solid understanding of the gaming space, as well as the technologies and general processes required for game production.
  • Able to draft excellent project briefs, content specifications, and process documents.
  • Strong project management and leadership experience.
Desirable:
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent.
  • Gen9 console experience.
  • Programming knowledge.
  • Industry relationships with format holders and development studios.
  • Multiplayer exp.
