We are a growing fuel company seeking a confident, experienced, and motivated professional to join our small, supportive team in a senior sales support role. This position is central to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office and sales support function, while also providing leadership to a small but growing team.
The successful candidate will manage key operational processes including fuel orders, customer and supplier relationships, reporting, and supply chain coordination, while also overseeing office standards, procedures, and team performance. This is a hands-on role combining sales support, operational delivery, and people management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operational Support
Process and manage fuel orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate supply and delivery schedules to meet business demands.
Act as a primary point of contact for customer and supplier queries, maintaining professional and effective communication.
Manage shared inboxes, ensuring timely, accurate responses and appropriate task allocation.
Compile monthly sales figures and operational reports, providing clear insights to management.
Provide high-level support to the sales team and senior management to help drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership
Line manage and support a small team, including task allocation, training, performance monitoring, and day-to-day guidance.
Foster a positive, productive team environment and maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members where required.
Office & Administration Management
Take overall responsibility for office organisation, procedures, and efficiency.
Ensure administrative processes are consistent, compliant, and continuously improved.
Handle ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as required to support the wider business.
Head Office Liaison
Attend occasional visits to Head Office in Kelvedon, Essex (travel expenses covered) and act as a key operational link between sites.

Confident and professional communicator with strong leadership skills.
Proven experience in sales support, office management, or operations.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads.
Proactive, solution-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
Strong team player with the ability to motivate and manage others effectively.
What We Offer
Competitive salary of 26,000 - 30,000 (dependent on experience).

Paid travel expenses for occasional Head Office visits (Kelvedon, Essex).
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
