We are seeking a Senior Residential Care Worker to lead and support a young person with complex needs in a solo residential setting while guiding a dedicated care team.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will provide direct care and leadership in a high-needs solo placement. You will create a stable, nurturing environment focused on therapeutic practice, safety, and emotional growth. Your leadership will foster a values-driven culture within the home and ensure high-quality, consistent care.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the care of a young person in a one-to-one solo residential setting, ensuring emotional and physical safety.
Implement trauma-informed, therapeutic strategies to support trust and recovery.
Safely manage crisis situations using physical intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Provide mental health and behavioural support tailored to the young person's needs.
Lead, mentor, and support the care team through supervision, shift management, and rota organisation.
Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, child-centred care.
Maintain compliance with safeguarding, record-keeping, and health & safety standards.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in complex care settings including mental health support and physical intervention.
Resilient, patient, and calm under pressure with strong leadership skills.
Ability to mentor and develop a team committed to child-centred care.
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (business insurance required).

Residential Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred)
