About the Role
We are seeking a
Senior Support Worker
to join our team at Tanglewood, supporting children and young people aged 8-17 with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. This is a rewarding but demanding role where you'll play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and family-style environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading shifts, guiding colleagues, and ensuring care plans are followed.
Building trusting, therapeutic relationships with children who have experienced trauma.
Supporting young people to develop life skills, independence, and resilience.
Encouraging engagement in hobbies, education, and community activities.
Acting as a role model, creating a positive and consistent culture in the home.
Promoting safeguarding and ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to manage challenging behaviours.
Emotional resilience, patience, and a genuine commitment to children's wellbeing.
Leadership skills to guide and inspire junior colleagues.
What We Offer
31,000 per year base salary.
Sleep-in allowance of 55 per night (average 1-2 per week).
