About the Role

As an STCW, you will be enthusiastic and motivated in creating and maintaining a child-centred, therapeutic environment where our children and young people are supported to grow in all areas of their lives while promoting their well-being, safety and emotional stability to develop to their full potential. This is an important and rewarding role with our children and young people at the very centre of our approach.

As a STCW, you will:

Supervise and support a dedicated team of Care Workers. Lead daily routines, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding. Play an active role in planning and delivering individualised support plans. Collaborate closely with the Residential Home Manager, Deputy Manager and the therapeutic teams. Provide consistent emotional and behavioural guidance to young people. Maintain essential documentation and assist with staff development.
About You

We are looking for individuals with :

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care (essential) At least 2 years' experience in a care setting (preferred) A caring and emotionally resilient nature, with a strong commitment to safeguarding The ability to provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff Good written and organisational skills for managing documentation and compliance

Requirements:

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence as you will be expected to transport the children and young people in company cars. Age exemption due to regulatory requirements, candidates must be 21 years or older due to nature of our service. You must successfully complete an enhanced DBS certificate, which is funded by the company. You must have the right to work in the UK. You must be available to work to the house shift patterns which may include some unsociable hours over a 39 hour week. You must be able to provide acceptable references.
