Description





The SVP of Sales is responsible for the overall development and execution of the strategy to drive superior sales results. The individual provides leadership, direction, and resources to the sales department and is accountable for the overall sales department performance, the achievement of sales department goals and targets, and the alignment of the business's strategy. The SVP of Sales is also charged with ensuring sustainable revenue growth by constantly maximizing market penetration.###

Key Responsibilities





To plan, direct, and evaluate all the activities of the Sales Team. Proactively identify, develop, and implement strategies that will deliver sales productivity and growth. The VP of Sales will be involved in setting annual targets for the team and individuals and help determine appropriate variable compensation to drive results. In conjunction with other company stakeholders, establish and streamline sales processes and policies in relation to Sales, in line with global standards. Committed to holding individual team members accountable for their success. Establish industry-leading initiatives that influence the position of the business in the industry, solidifying its position as a market leader. Monitor sales pipeline and sales forecasting to maintain accuracy and predictability against targets. Provide sales reporting and analysis to provide actionable insights. Lead Sales Team in building and managing relationships with clients and potential clients. Assessing the skill level of individual team members and providing/sourcing necessary training to increase overall competency, productivity, and success. Consistently motivating team to retain and use skills as learned. Coach Sales Team to a successful closing.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise



Essential Qualifications and Experience

An appropriate tertiary qualification in Sales/ Business or related field 10 years+ experience at Senior level Appropriate industry experience Proven track record in Sales Management In-depth experience within the manufacturing and/or distribution industry Solid ERP industry experience
