We are seeking a data-driven SEO Specialist to elevate organic visibility and sustainable growth across our multi-market websites (UK, DE, FR, US). This full-time, office-based role in central Edinburgh (Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:30pm) focuses on end-to-end SEO execution, from technical foundations and content optimisation to performance analysis and forecasting. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our sites are crawlable, fast, and search-intent aligned, while staying ahead of algorithm updates and AI-driven search changes.
Key Responsibilities
Own the SEO roadmap for multiple locales, aligning objectives with commercial targets and market nuances without duplicating channel work owned by other teams.
Implement on-page optimisation at scale, including metadata, headings, schema markup, and internal link improvements based on intent mapping and priority pages.
Plan and brief high-impact, search-led content with clear keyword strategies
Lead off-page initiatives responsibly (digital PR opportunities, link reclamation, brand mentions) and maintain a healthy backlink profile.
Set up and maintain SEO tracking and dashboards, leveraging Google Analytics and Search Console to monitor visibility, clicks, CTR, and conversions.
Analyse performance, identify issues and opportunities, and deliver clear monthly reports with insights, actions, and forecasts.
Proactively track algorithm updates, evolving SERP features, and AI-overviews; test and iterate strategies to mitigate risks and capture new opportunities.
Establish and enforce SEO hygiene processes (redirect management, canonicalisation, indexation rules, multilingual tags) to prevent regressions during site changes.
Essential Requirements
2+ years of hands-on SEO experience delivering measurable organic growth across technical and content workstreams.
Strong technical SEO knowledge, including crawling/indexation, structured data, CWV, and log-file or crawl analysis tools.
Proficiency with keyword research, intent clustering, and content optimisation that drives rankings and conversions.
Experience using Google Search Console and Google Analytics for analysis and reporting.
Ability to translate findings into clear actions, prioritise by impact, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and ownership mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Awareness of AI-driven search trends and automation for SEO workflows
Familiarity with Shopify theme structure and SEO-relevant settings (e.g., URL patterns, collections, product templates, structured data).
